Alcohol Advice

Many of our pharmacies across Dudley offer advice on the safe levels of drinking alcohol. The government recommends men and women have no more than 14 units per week, spread evenly across the week with at least two consecutive alcohol-free days. But what is a unit of alcohol? A standard glass of wine can contain 2-2.5 units with a pint of beer or lager containing 3 units. To work out how many units you drink click here.

Our pharmacies will ask you some questions to determine if you are putting your health at risk by the amount you are drinking. They will then offer advice if needed, they can also refer you directly to specialist services if you need more help and support.
